Review of Meeting:
MAC/LPN was again on the cutting edge
of new developments in career counseling methodology at our April 6, 2005, program
when Amy Ferris presented an overview of the newly revised Strong Interest Inventory®
(SII). Ms. Ferris has served as the Mid-Atlantic Regional Consultant for Consulting
Psychologists Press, the owner and distributor of the SII, for the past seven
years. She gave us information about all the additions and changes the new instrument
provides, and walked us through the new report form. Her excitement at being able
to offer this new assessment was infectious, and we were pleased that the company
responded so effectively to suggestions made by career counselors throughout the
years. We are all looking forward to using the new SII with our clients.
